The Countryside Retreat will be based in the grounds of The Old Farm in the hamlet of Edgeley, 1.5 miles from the vibrant market town of Whitchurch in Shropshire. Lovely walks, the local Brown Moss nature reserve and a friendly community run village pub are only a short walk away.
Accommodation
For those wanting a residential experience, participants will be able to bring their own camping set-up to stay in the grounds. Other accommodation can be sourced close by and those within easy travelling distance may choose to travel in each day.
All facilities will be based in and around the barn; communal kitchen/dining space, bathrooms, recreational and workshop spaces with log burning stove, and extensive grounds including fire pit area.
The grounds will have plenty of chill out spaces where you will be able to enjoy a rustic charm and spend time alone for meditation, contemplation or just some good old peace and quiet if that is what you need.
Food
There will be a self serve/self catering kitchen area in the barn for guests to use and for some events there will also be catered communal meals.
Getting to The Countryside Retreat
The Old Farm, Edgeley Bank, Edgeley, Shropshire SY13 4NN
We are located on a country lane called Edgeley Bank off the A525, just outside Whitchurch. The Old Farm is on the right hand side about 0.5 mile along. Turn into the gates, over the cattle grid and up to the main house.
Parking: Plenty of parking spaces next to the main house when you arrive.
Public Transport: Good rail links with direct trains to Whitchurch from Shrewsbury, Crewe, Nantwich, Manchester, Hereford and Cardiff; Bank House is 1.5 miles from Whitchurch train station… we will be able to collect and drop you off at the station. National Express buses run to the larger surrounding towns and connect to Whitchurch via local bus services.
